Your Science Journal and Expectations
Your science journal is one of the most important things you will create in my class. It counts as 50% of your overall science grade, but most importantly, it will be where you take all of your notes, reflections, writing assignments, and some quizzes. This journal is designed to help you learn the information in a way that is organized, detailed, and personal to you. I will be making sure you learn how to set up your notes so that we can access certain areas quickly on all of the right pages, and you will be making sure that you put your personal touch on the left pages.
Here is the way the journal grade breaks down...
All left pages fall under the homework category which is 10% of your grade in science class.
All right pages fall into the classwork category which is 40% of your grade in science class.
Each time Mr. Bennett checks the journal there will be 2 skyward grades entered- 1 Homework (HW) grade and 1 Classwork (CW) grade.
